Kerr Street Café opened in 2010 and is a joint venture between Alex Flye, owner of Flye Catering and Shaun Waitzer, owner of Brothers Coffee Roasters. Our café is a relaxing environment for people to enjoy freshly prepared food and damn fine coffee, and is a bricks and mortar location for Flye Catering. Alex has catered parties from Toronto to Muskoka for more than 20 years. She also worked in California, where the lifestyle and café cultures inspired her. Shaun is a coffee roaster and previously ran multiple cafés in his native New Zealand. When not sharing his love of coffee, you’ll often see Shaun surfing the icy waters of Lake Ontario. Our success lies in our team’s passion and attention to detail. Our friendly baristas have poured espresso in cafes around-the-world. From rolling pastry on cold marble to raising chickens, our creative kitchen staff have a wide of skills, even yoga—bringing a sense of calm to the kitchen.
