Kerr Village Community Improvement Plan

Oakville Planning and Development Centre approves pilot project to provide Kerr Village tenants and property owners with financial assistance to improve exterior appearance of building façades and storefronts.

Earlier this year, Oakville's Planning and Development Centre announced the start of the community improvement plan for Kerr Village. This plan includes the façade improvement grant which will provide Kerr Village tenants and property owners with financial assistance to improve and renovate the exterior appearance of building façades and storefronts.

The town will pay up to $10,000 ($12,500 for corner properties) to cover the costs of exterior cleaning and painting, the adding of accessibility ramps, modifying of entranceways, adding and repairing exterior lighting, adding and repairing awnings and canopies, replacing windows and doors, and other exterior aesthetic improvements.

To apply for the grant you must be a tenant or property owner in an already existing building South of Speers Road. The building must face directly on to either Kerr Street or Lakeshore Road. The deadline to apply is JUNE 13TH.
